ReturnByChris is a YouTube channel about anime. I take a question that fans usually argue about in comments and answer it the way I would at work: write the code, pull the data, run the numbers, show the chart.
This site is the lab notebook behind the videos. A video has to move fast. Here you get the slow version: every number with the place it came from, the definitions I used, the data as CSV and the code to rerun it yourself.
House rules
- Every number has a source. If a number is in a video, it is on the page for that episode with a link or a citation.
- Definitions are written down. When a measurement depends on a choice (what counts as isekai, what counts as a first season), the choice is spelled out next to the result.
- Only my own material lives here. Charts, data and code are mine. Anime belongs to its creators, so footage and art are linked at the source, never hosted.
- Mistakes get fixed in public. Found a wrong number? Leave a comment under the video. The page gets corrected and the fix is noted.
